Pat Hooley
Pat Hooley was raised in Denver, but escaped to the Western Slope in 1975. He taught Social Studies and coached 4 different sports at the Middle School level in Montrose, Colorado until retiring in 2005. Over the last 40 years he, his wife Bettye, and daughter Mary Kathryn have vacationed, hiked and fished throughout the Western Slope, having a special love for the Lake City area. Pat has fished his entire life but took up fly fishing 30 years ago. He has fished for trout throughout the US and traveled to Mexico and the Bahamas to cast flies to several saltwater species. Pat has worked as a fly fishing guide since 1990 in Montrose, Telluride and most recently, Lake City. Pat’s knowledge of the local history, geology, and offerings other than fly fishing will make your day on the water in a beautiful setting even more rewarding.
